Definitely not a good time for Flexiroam because this business is based on people travelling across countries. I expect a terrible quarterly report for sure.
I just received this email as their newsletter, some drastic measures taken here...I am pretty sure they will survive, but the road out is gonna be steep if they do not pivot the business model.


"Dear valued customers,

Miss traveling? We do too; we've missed travelling the world with you! But it's good enough for us that you're staying healthy and safe at home.

We wanted to drop you a note to let you know what's happening on our end, so you know what we're doing to make sure you continue to enjoy the service you've come to rely on when the world opens its doors again.

We'll be honest - it hasn't been easy. It hasn't been easy because we've always been about people. Our people, the ones who make sure you're seamlessly connected anywhere around the world, are vitally important to us. Since Covid19 hit early this year, we've been scaling back our operations, seeking funding, and implementing drastic cost cutting measures including cutting our directors fee and management team's salary significantly. We've been doing all that, so we can avoid the inevitable.

However, over a week ago, we have had to take the most painful course of action since we started operations nine years ago. We had to put a majority of our staff on unpaid leave. No effort was spared to find placements for them in other companies, at least the few that were still hiring. Even our director stepped in to provide accomodation for those who needed it.

Starting 1st of May 2020, we will operate with a super skinny crew, enough to make sure it's business as usual, as far as you are concerned. We are fully committed to do more than our fair share to shore up our services so you can always stay in touch with your friends and family, on your terms! We can still be reached 24/7, through our Facebook, WhatsApp and website. If you don't hear from us immediately, we ask for your patience. We will respond and we will get to the bottom of your queries. We may be a few men down, but we're still here.
