The technology was developed in the 1930's in Germany so no it's not a new technology but this is the 9th generation that ZNO has developed.
The key difference is that the ZNO is a water based produced that is stable & has shelf life of 3 years. Previously you had to buy a concentrated mix it it up & the shelf life was very short.
ZNO has proprietary technology in it's formulation.
