THE ORGANISATION
Axiom Mining Limited (‘Axiom’) is a community-focused organisation with a portfolio of mineral exploration tenements in the Solomon Islands and Australia. We are listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX).
Axiom invites expressions of interest from qualified, experienced and motivated professionals in the following roles to join our team. Positions would include a range of Honiara-based or other site-based arrangements with all staff engaged on rosters. Temporary, fixed term and permanent positions may be on offer.
THE ROLES AND THEIR PURPOSE
1 Project Development Manager
Provide effective management of the mining lease application process including environmental studies, front end engineering and design (FEED) on construction of mine and supporting infrastructure, management of tenders and awards, and overall management of project delivery.
2Safety Superintendent
Provide support to the project management team, supervisors and workers around preventative safety and health training, on-job guidance and support the investigation of incidents to determine root cause and corrective actions where necessary.
3 Paramedic
Provide high level medical support, primary health care and incident response.
4 Senior Geologist
Provide geological input to the project team through mapping, sampling, sample quality control systems, supervising the day to day geological activities in grade control and mining in the most cost effective and safest manner to advance the project from evaluation through to mine production.
5 Project Surveyor
Provision of a high quality surveying service in projects from planning, construction and operations.
6Earthworks Superintendent
Leads the works execution as agreed with engaged Contractors and
assists with planning, coordination and control of safety, timeliness and cost deliverables of the mine development plan for infrastructure, facilities and earthworks.
7 Operations Supervisor
Manage and optimise the equipment fleets between drilling, construction, mining and shipping activities to achieve the agreed short term objectives.
8 Driller
Assists with day to day surface exploration under the management of a Drilling Supervisor based at Axiom’s exploration sites in remote locations.
9 Mechanic
Provide preventative, breakdown and fault finding maintenance of drilling and all support equipment including generators and vehicles.
10Construction Manager
Manage construction and contracts of all mine, shipping, camp, power and water infrastructure.
11Supply Chain Manager
Plan, organize, direct and manage all supply chain processes at site in support of project development requirements.
12 Environmental Superintendent
Coordinate all environmental activities on-site, in line with regulatory approvals/licenses and corporate policies and objectives. This includes; monitoring programs, facility and worksite inspections, nursery/revegetation activities and worker inductions.
All roles require:
• Awareness, understanding and demonstrated capacity to comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
• English communication skills appropriate to the requirements of the position.
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a team to meet project requirements.
