Perhaps Thesimmos...unlikely that Fengli would forego $million for goodwill alone you'd think. They either were worried about ending up in creditors court trying to get their slice of what cash remained, or they expect to make a return another way (perhaps by getting cheap shares through a parallel equity raising).
It has got me scratching my head though.
