I worked on a Newcrest mine site first in the late 80’s. It was an absolute disaster zone! They had a mobile (Japanese) primary jaw crusher that broke down every 24hrs. A secondary gyratory crusher that would lock up if the operator looked sideways. The screens and portable conveyors weren’t as good as most concrete batching plants and a dinky toy ball mill but they were producing gold and flying it out every week. I was fortunate to see it gradually change...... Patience required with this company...... different challenges but the gold is there!
