Those that follow PLS and the sector closely, know that most of the mainstream reporting is click bait. On top of that, the narrative that this time is different, China will have total control of the Lithium market, they will always turn on the taps and suppress the price, forever, Sodium batteries are going to rule, blah, blah, blah.
Fact is, most of the Lithium raw material supply is ex China. Project economics matter and will not proceed if pricing doesn't stack up. We will see the results of this rout in the coming years. IMO, the damage done to the supply pipeline will create a supply deficit that will need steroids to correct. Demand will continue and the projects required to fill the gap will have trouble keeping up. The easy deposits have been found. It gets harder from here.
