I suspect Chestermemate's post sees an analogy in comparing Hillside financing with the recent poor performance of the national rugby union team resulting in calls for the rugby board to resign and to the coach appointed in Jan 2023 now falling on his sword??

In 2021 we were told in respect of Hillside financing:-
"We have engaged a client team to assist with arranging bank finance and concentrate marketing
options, and we have signed a number of banking groups, under Confidentiality Agreements.______"

In 2023 we are told financing might take 3 years:-
"Rex remains in discussions with a range of high-quality strategic parties
with respect to partnering in the Hillside Copper Project______ this
process is expected to extend into CY 2024."

Speaking of analogies I am holding to my analogy of faith in the potential of Hillside funding to the quip made by Bill Hayden in giving up the leadership of the ALP to Bob Hawke back in 2013 "a drover's dog could lead the Labor Party to victory___". Bob Hawke was successful. But if he was not and failed again three years later no doubt he would have been replaced.......I hope the Rex Board see the analogy as not being too tenuous and do their job and actually deliver financing.
