It's one things for critics to have doubts about Vulcan's eventual business performance. But being critical of not delivering when phase one of Vulcan's business plan is quite ambitious, with a fair deal of complexity and it's 2 years out from full swing lacks credibility. It discounts that important milestones have been achieved.
Concerns about executive pay might be valid if Vulcan was just a junior miner. Clearly it's not. Vulcan will be a mining and infrastructure company with highly valued IP. That type of company is hard to find.
When Vulcan is establishing a company which involves four main business income streams across at least three counties with complex engineering (in a European context) with numerous community, environmental, financial, legal and heritage considerations, I would say that the executive deserve every cent in establishing an enterprise with such a massive potential.
Labelling investors as mugs and then writing gleefully about one's enjoyment in witnessing shareholder discomfort (during a market downtown) is the sort of admission that only a grub could be proud of.
