You may be right or wrong but it will definitely be harder to hit mineralisation 400m deeper than the current deepest hole as it is partly a blind target. It depends on how deep the mineralisation goes and assuming it goes to at least 1,000m then also how the mineralisation orientation changes ie width and direction.

Many underground gold mines have higher grade mineralisation that goes deeper than 2 km in Australia and overseas (eg quite a few in Canada) so it is possible NN could go a lot deeper than 1 km but we may not know for a while. 4P, WW and even for Plymouth and Sly Fox may also go very deep but no one knows and it will take a lot more drilling over a number of years to understand the depth of all these prospects.

If the 990m hole is the parent hole, and I am intrigued why SL did not describe it as such, I will not be that bothered if it misses mineralisation. I am much more interested in what the wedge holes find that are drilled from this hole, which may include even deeper holes than 990m.

If this hole is not the parent hole then I am puzzled why they are drilling it.

Imagine if NN went to about 2km or 3km deep - could it have a 3mt to 5mt Oz resource? Then add 4P, WW, Plymouth and Sly Fox and maybe they could have a minimum 5mt to 10m Oz resource. But that is all very much a huge amount of speculation.


If this 990m hole does hit high grade mineralisation then the potential resource from NN may increase substantially.
