It does indeed look large when compared to the other rubies. I suspect also in that bag there a few more that are bigger than the average sizes displayed in other parcels.
I am aware the article link below was posted here back in January 2017, but I thought it might be worth posting again, just to give an indication from some of the pictures in the article, what size is sort of what carat. Naturally, the other factors, such as clarity, colour etc determine the real value of any ruby.
I also noted, that the specific sale price of that particularly large ruby, wasn't disclosed, as it was sold in a parcel at auction.
This article/commentary relates specifically to Mozambique rubies.
Many of you may have already seen it, so apologies for boring you, but could be interesting to those that haven't seen it.
