My own assumption is that SSBs will enter the premium end for consumer EVs whereby using same battery module space significantly higher performance can be achieved, so perhaps a Tesla large SUV with a 200KWh pack potential. Could also envisage it in the sports car market. Take the Porsche that had to design the battery module area with cutouts for rear passengers' feet.
So either higher range applications or designs with limited room for batteries would be where I see SSBs first entering the market.
Major investment has already been made in battery megafactory construction for Li-ion tech, so don't see that disappearing anytime soon.
