While HK shareholders may not be considered as friends to the average shareholder, current management, past management and the BOD are definitely not friends of the average shareholder. How can you destroy so much shareholder value and walk around with a chip on your shoulder and then position yourselves to ask for more money? It beggars belief.
They have a track record of not delivering on their stated objectives, a thousand and one excuses and now have developed a new strategy for Nifty.
How about shareholders give them the monies on the proviso that they receive no remuneration, their remuneration will be performance shares set against an agreed set of benchmarks. If it doesn't succeed they will have worked for free. If they are so confident with regards to their strategy for Nifty, then they need to back themselves.
