My amateur understanding is that all enveloped viruses have a higher internal pressure than host body cells.

When they replicate inside a host cell, inherently they cause that cell's internal pressure to also increase as more copies of the virus are produced. Eventually, the volume of virus bodies inside the cell are too much for the normal cell to contain, and it explodes, thus further spreading the virus.

In either case, whether floating free, or reproducing inside a host cell, sooner or later, Recce 327 causes a rupture as the cell\envelope wall is under higher pressure than the surrounding host cells. Once that rupture has occurred, the body's immune system identifies the virus as a hostile foreign body, and moves in to clean up.

The key is the higher internal pressure of the viral envelope, and the higher internal pressure of a host cell - caused by the growing number of copies of the virus accumulating inside it.

I am certainly not a medical professional: This is only my limited understanding of the science behind Recce 327, and I may well be misguided. Do your own research, and do not take my word for it.
