The most important thing with any company is the fundamentals - potential to produce, cash flow balance etc.
It does not really matter if a company has 500mil shares or 5bil shares. It gets reflected in the MC - that is the important measure of a company.
SOI is really not that important - the overall value of the company is. 100mil shares in a company that has no future does not make it a good investment for example. IE's comment was not a silly one
