It's all good, that was a long time ago and although it was definitely frustrating, it was a real lesson. I ended up doing ok out of Exore Resources, which was JT's last role before PRU acquired them, so I think all up I'm about even.

One thing that I've learned with these types of companies that specialize in West Africa is that the quality of the leadership team is key. If you can lock on to a core group of people that have a history of success, you can basically follow them around their different ventures and hopefully share in their success as an investor. If JT and the team succeed here, they'll put themselves on the map.

Cote d'voire also seems like one of the few jurisdictions in the region where there is at least a semblance of law and order. Sarama Resources who operate in BF recently had their core project literally confiscated overnight by the junta. There's limits to where I invest my money these days, but comfortable with this one thus far.
