I should mention here that the historical workings at Bethanga are just before you enter the town from the NW ... over the bridge from NSW to Victoria, through Bellbridge and then over the hill.
There is a heap of information on the web regarding historical production of copper (and gold, as originally gold was the attractor in the area.)
I think Robbo posted some good stuff shortly after the "Bethanga Ann" 18 or so months back. Cu grades were extremely high, like 48%.
The current area of interest is south east of the town, just off Springdale road .. but access to the property is up a hill and through a locked gate.
If you look at the photos previously posted, you'll get an idea just how undulating the area is. Plenty of potential for "thrust" from below!"
If you use Google Earth, you'll get a better idea of the lay of the land.
Glenlea cattle farm is the area of interest. From Springdale road, follow the "tracks" up the hill and around it and have a look around.
There appears a to be a 'shallow' area in the middle, much like a crater, so perhaps that's where the rig was yesterday?
Anyway, this photo i took at the historic Wallace facility, could be us waiting for the DDH program to complete and assays to be released.
