How about all this.
I read a tweet the other day.
Industry super funds are heavily invested in renewables.
I remember about 30 years ago, the business we are in, being invited to meetings re business opportunities in these new technologies.
Ie
Solar, led lighting upgrades, all that and more.
There would have been similar presentations to much bigger entities including super funds. Spruiking this is the way of the future.
If all these super funds for each of the trades and service worker unions have huge exposure to supposed green energy because the government said thats where we are all going.
Not anticipating that renewables would not cut it for base load and that ai would come along needing mega energy and that all software would become subscription based with data stored in data centres.
Then those super funds are exposed to plummeting value potentially.
Even if certain renewable companies stay doing ok, the value of their stock may languish almost worthless if investors dump for where the future has gone and just want stocks in other energies.
Who would have thought, out of the naughty corner comes Nuclear to be the biggest and best of all.
And to add insult to injury to those who have kept kicking nuclear, its now endorsed by the biggest tech co’s in the world, leading global banks, more and more countries. Even more of a slap in the face, China and Russia are huge in nuclear.
My advice to all the industry super funds if I was an adviser would be. Invest in some uranium companies that have big deposits before the shit hits the green fan and while U shares are still cheap.
I wonder what that baby doctor, Helen Caldicot that is anti nuclear and always was on panels nuclear bashing, thinks about nuclear now.
Even the green cultists at the CSIRO that used costings for some expensive small reactor that was never going to be built, as the reference point for comparing nuclear costs to other energies, so I read.
