Years and years ago I recall a geologist I visited at the Boddington goldmine get so excited at seeing a gold speck in a drill core there - he hadn't seen one in years either. Seeing gold specks in the quartz is exciting if the gold bearing ore goes down to depth noting that a viable mine these days is around 2 grams to 3 grams a tonne of ore (and one tonne of ore has 1,000,000 grams of material so 2 to 3 grams of gold in that material is the equivalent of a needle in a haystack).

As to JORC yes I know what it is and at this end of the speck market where the word visible gold is clear I think they won't have too many problems getting to an inferred resource (either from current drilling or future drilling) if the deposit goes to depth (i.e. here it is a question of depth when have visble surface gold). Suspect more drilling required to get to a 'measured' and 'indicated' resource, before doing more work to get that into the proven and probable reserve bucket. But getting to an inferred resource is a key because after that you do the drilling at 50 to 100 metres to determine the measured and indicated resource. Oh, yes I understand JORC but not sure about some here.
