I know what you mean - and it is one common to all fast growing businesses.
Have no fear, I say, as you can be sure there will be some top class Accountancy firm guiding them on avoiding this pitfall.
It is also why App Annie is saying the biggest challenge for App Developers for 2016, is to increase the add ons and monetisation of the users they already have. More revenue from the same number of users (or same users), should overcome the problem.

I believe NOR is well Managed. Yes, they may have a higher wage bill than say, ZIP - but they are putting in place the experts / specialists / partnerships they need, to expand the current World Phone App into wider markets - not geographically (already achieved) - but in the type of use that is made of World Phone.

So, to take a mythical example I have used before. Picture Filipina, in the Philippines, with say, Aussie boyfriend. She is poor and does not have a Bank Account.....but does want the advantages of a Bank Account which we westerners take for granted.
so, right there is your target user. Free WP to WP; the World Credit feature and the ability to give the
'unbanked' of the world (hundreds of millions of them) the ability to get credit on their phone and use that credit to pay bills.
This is just a personal view of the way I see it going. The most important thing for the Filipina, will be to keep in daily touch with her Aussie boyfriend. He will send her credit via World Credit, instead of having to use Western Union. i.e. direct to her phone, instead of physically going to a Western Union Agent to pick up the money. From there, the other things will fall into place.
We do not know (yet) what other Apps NOR is developing - but we do know they have the partnership with Stripe in the US (credit cards) and Peppermint Innovation in Perth (ways and means to help the Unbanked). Free WP to WP is not far away, according to NOR announcements.

Paul O, in NOR announcements has said, time and time again, he is wanting to build a global telecommunications business. World Phone will soon move beyond just travel. Soon, I will also have to check on the App Annie downloads in Finance, as well as in Travel. Who knows what else ?
