Sharker, there is little or no chance of funding from Western sources, incl. Japanese, whilst the present US sanctions are in place. The sanctions do not specifically target Russian coal but they do in practice. It depends on Russian funding but they probably covet their US dollars. In my view the only folks that have funds would be large coking coal businesses in south-east Russia and the Chinese but they would be hard bargains.
