Well, this reads like Napoleon's retreat from Moscow - lots of troops sacrificed, most of the hardware and operational capabilities shredded and only the emperor, some of his generals and his close staff made it back to civilisation, salary packages intact.
Perhaps this asset will be developed by an acquirer, but seeing that the project will have to be redesigned and financed, all this exploration blah is lipstick on the pig. No doubt the remuneration committee will vote rewards for those who saved the company from their own incompetence !
This company is on my leper list - untouchable at any price. The liquidity will be surely tested as many many totalled disaffected, refuse to eat the sh#t sandwich, no matter how much palaver is applied.
