I agree, Labor’s powering Australia plan states they will follow the Australian Business Council recommendations so “emissions be reduced gradually and predictably over time, to support international competitiveness and economic growth – consistent with industry’s own commitment to net zero by 2050.”

Business Council recommends:
- replace moratoriums with project by project assessments
- streamline project approvals process
- prevent existing projects from being forced to supply the domestic market
