Hello,
Greetings to Guyana!
How many months of wages are unpaid?
Many stockholders here have lost dozens of months.
I think the situation may play out in your favour. Troy's Guyana subsidiary is in administration now. That means shareholders will receive nothing. All assets on-site, the mill, lorries, equipment, stocks etc. will be sold off. It will not be enough to pay all creditors. Creditors will now be Government of Guyana, probably largest creditor, and former employees, only a fraction. While I do not know if it is the case in Guyana, in many countries unpaid wages are on top of the list. If the situation in Guyana is different it might be worth to lobby with politicians to not register the full amount owed by Troy Guyana to the Government of Guyana unless all unpaid wages have been taken care of.
So I think chances are good that unpaid wages will be paid in full.
Please be informed that it may be necessary to register your claims with the appointed administrator and there might be deadlines.
