I think MZ realised that the potential deal... has been hurting their script and... ironically, they want their script to rise to be able to do a deal.
I also think they have their eyes on something else (why else have they not been been able to complete any deal - in the end it was clearly just a matter of price...).
Basically... RMS is now going to have to move quickly (just like SLR had to after being beaten by GMD with the Gwalia deal).
I still don't think RMS will push to develop Edna May, they want to improve their production profile and low costs, Edna May simply cannot do that.
The higher POG does however, hopefully make the asset more saleable.
