When you have Minister Anthony Roberts telling a budget estimates hearing quote "Those negotiations are commercial-in-confidence and I don't plan on commenting any further," and on the other hand Clarence MP Chris Gulaptis who according to himself "I have not been privy to the negotiation process” quoting that a “substantial offer based on an independent valuation” has been made by the NSW Government the company now being a ASX listed company has to clarify its position because some clearly don’t understand what “Commercial-in-confidence” means.
Although it’s good to know some information and the directors have considered this is not to be an acceptable offer to put to shareholder the sheer ignorance of those not even close enough to the conversations have to publically comment on commercial-in-confidence absolutely astounds me.
NSW Department of Industry Secretary Simon Smith, who has been leading the negotiations since July, added: "They've been very clear with us that they don't want running commentary about their affairs."
So can someone please spell this out to other Minsters because "The Government also remains ready to continue negotiations in good faith with Metgasco."
