What else can they do ... apart from market the royalty concept to keep the SP high, and pray that the iron ore price stays high so they generate a decent dividend.
They can't impact any efficiencies or production at the mine, nor can they convince customers of their product, which is all up to BHP.
Best way to look at this is purely as a high yielding dividend payer. If you are happy to remove the excitement and collect 7-10% yield pa, then ignore the rest
