I don't mind it when a company makes a decision and it doesn't pan out, there's no reward without an element of risk. What could potentially be concerning is the amount of capital they continued to invest (burn?) over the last 18 months even when they were aware of the issues. I can only assume that they think there's still some upside there. IGO have breathed new life into assets in the past (Long) so it's possible that in a few years time this asset could generate some value for the company.
