Diversified customer sources for income across Australia while keeping the major business focused and joint ownership/partnership with subsidiary firms... an interesting business model.
Personally I agree that the financial planning loss might be a one-off incident without hurting the fundamentals of the firm.
But things are not transparent with this firm, or much of the stories are avoided/omitted in its announcements. Little could be found about the tangible loss from the financial planning part, or improved structure to avoid repeat of similar incidents.
After stepping down of the CEO and replacement of CFO, there are changes taking place. But with the increased vagueness, it is harder to tell to which direction the firm is heading...
