I am an advocate of due process which ensures all parties have their say, and fair and impartial decisions are made for the benefit of communities as a whole.

As far as I am concerned this process has done just that over lengthy timeframes during which Talga has worked hard to develop and present multiple proposals to mitigate the impact of their operations eg restricting the period of mining operations.

This development wreaks of desperation and stalling tactics. I cannot see what, if any new information could be found and presented to the Supreme Court that would justify an appeal. Whilst the judicial wheels appear to spin slowly, particularly in Sweden it seems, hopefully this matter is addressed relatively swiftly. Without any new information of substance it would be an awful waste of Talga’s resources and public (Swedish) money.

Let’s hope for the benefit of Talga, it’s shareholders and the wider Swedish community this appeal is quashed promptly.
