maybe "Jeff Neff on Investing" if you are after P/E stocks.

Best to spend time at a University Library browsing through their "Value Investing" books to find a strategy that suits your personality.

To get ideas use simple filters as a starting point.
A VALUE filter ( eg P/nta , P/E, Div Yield, etc ) with a risk filter ( eg debt/equity )
Then add more checks to reduce this list of candidates.

Another way to get ideas is follow monthly updates from "Value" fund managers in Australia ( free on the internet )
eg Forager for small caps.
Investors Mutual for larger established companies.
Spheria for small caps.
Allan Gray for resources plus industrial companies

Read AFR and The Australian Business at the local library .
Value Investors are often quoted in the press.
