Tyro have better integration with POS systems, better customer service (24x7, 100% local), and are doing innovative things that help merchants, like hooking up with AliPay. Also, the big banks' EFTPOS services have had a habit of going down for hours or sometimes days in the past. (Can you imagine trying to run a retail business and not having EFTPOS for several days?) Tyro's technology rarely has issues and, in rare cases where it has, it's typically been for a matter of minutes.
