AUB’s trading has been stable has post the announcement on 30 March that the purchase of 50.1% of MGA and 100% of Whittles was not going to be completed at that time. AUB did state that the proposal would be revisited as soon as practicable, so maybe we should we expect an announcement that the deal is back on shortly.
The original transaction had cash consideration of $29m and the issue of 8.765m shares at $12.649 each. If the deal is to be resurrected, will be interesting to see what price the scrip consideration is issued at given that Friday’s close was $14.23.
