FY18/19 Telstra shed 6000 jobs. Oct 19 Telstra announces another 500, plus 282 in Feb 20 to be shed this year.
Now they say freeze that idea of the 500+282 being moved on - lets use them as the temporarily workers to cover our Asia call centres that had tools down due to Covid19.
So I see a temporary increase in wage bill for 6 mths due to our higher labour costs. However they are bringing $500M of 5G spending forward from next year to now to fast track internal spending! Surely this is good news and will mean smart people are on tap now to develop and plan for the future.
Overall has to be fairly positive for long term yeah?
