Unfortunately for shareholders the management company have shown a very low risk tolerance with their performance model. If they were prepared to take at least part of their compensation in company shares then this would indicate some long-term commitment to the business. With the current arrangement it feels a bit like "heads we win, tails you lose" for the management company in relation to shareholders.
