As far as I can recall these companies have put their hand up for a piece of the Australian governments mRNA proposal:

    - CSL. Definitely the most likely candidate and a perennial favorite of the Australian government

    - IDT. Company has been manufacturing complex drugs since the 1970's.

    - BioCina. Took over the old Pfizer plant in Adelaide and already has their hand out for $90M for a plant upgrade. Owned by a US investment firm, which probably won't help them

    - BioDiem. A Melbourne based company that has experience developing vaccines. GlaxoSK are vacating their Boronia plant next year and BioDiem want a hand out to utilise that factory to manufacture vaccines.

BioDiem's pitch sounds great except for the fact they have so far outsourced all their vaccine production to India/China. The CEO is ex Glaxo Boronia but that said it does not appear the company has any manufacturing experience.

There may be others that could put their hand up for fill/finish.

Even a slice of that pie such as fill finish would be huge for IDT.
