At least 1 in 10 people have now had COVID-19 in the US (and 4 in 10 vaccinated). Its literally like they don't care anymore. Its crazy. Watching golf and other sports in the US you can barely spot a mask in the crowd. 2-3,000 deaths a week still and it barely makes the headlines. The urgency is just not there in the US anymore and the contrast with Australia and Europe could not be more vivid.
We discuss the frustrations and inconsistencies of the FDA frequently on here. With the collective US indifference to thousands dying every week its perhaps unreasonable to expect any urgency in the FDA with regard to C-19 ARDS treatments anymore alas. Its a crazy world and the US is the craziest.
