The hope that IDT could go into full blown end to end vaccine manufacturing in the short term is fanciful. It wont happen. They are, however, already configured for fill and finish which in itself would mean a significant boost in local vaccine supply even if its not end to end production. This would be enough to push stock values well over the $1 mark overnight. Over the past decade - much of our locally produced pharma was outsourced overseas. This is not in the national interest and is in for a major re-think. In the longer term - IDT could very much re-establish themselves as a strong local manufacturer of pharmaceutical products.
