You're right, IDT doesn't need to be the primary producer. But I ask about whether it has the capacity to be a primary producer because I think that's the sort of outcome that would be needed to push the stock up to the most optimistic highs some people are talking about here ($3-$4), and which I am skeptical of.

For me the best mix of ideal/realistic outcomes after today's announcements about AZ by the Cth is that:

• To achieve a sorely needed diversity of local vaccine supply, IDT commits to developing an mRNA manufacturing capability, or miraculously somehow already has that capacity in place now (ideal); and
• IDT is one of a handful of smaller manufacturers with this new capability, that will share a large Cth contract to deliver locally produced Pfizer/Moderna vaccines
