It could be (and I'm not flaming - seriously) that Bergen have leant on management to release any kind of ann that would encourage even the slightest lift in SP, thus allowing Bergen to flog those shares they were recently issued. The proviso may be that if they don't get the SP up pronto, they could pull the deal and GOA would be up nard creek.

I agree with Turps that it smells a lot like pre-CR behaviour.
