    The Caruso family business was the sand mining and haulage contractors for Cristal and Doral for decades. Thats’s the link. I don’t believe there is a link with Iwatani (Doral) and Mitsubishi.

    fyi:
    MRC attempted to buy Cristals WA deposits about 10-15 years ago. Caruso wanted to tie them all up with his private sand deposits.

    Didn’t happen and he sold to Cristal.
