The reason for the 'up-tic' is that CCP have been providing about 30% 'bad debts' for each new loan at the time it is written and subsequently earns about 42.5%pa interest over the term of that loan. This accounting approach is very conservative as it 'stacks' losses upfront and books the profits later. In the 2017 FY I project that the profit on the CCP lending business will be approximately $13.3m (more than twice 2016).
