    Ah huh, sorry I was getting a bit confused there. ERC reduced at Intrum due to reduced repayments because that is what the accounting models required them to do, hence the impairment. Then repayments recovered in Q2 and those same models then recognised an increase in ERC and therefore carrying vaule of PDLs, effecting an upwards revaluation and partial reversal of previous impairment. Phew...

    I understand where you are coming from that CCP won't be 'over earning' on PDLs in the future, in fact 'under earning'. However, I was more interpreting it as now that the PDLs are written down, if economic forecasts that went into that impairment are inaccurate, CCP's ROE/ROA etc may come in higher than normal and appear to be 'over earning'. If it collecting more than it budgeted, a higher percentage of collections will surely be recognised as revenue, resulting in lower amortisation.
