Shorting CCP. Interesting. Surely there are less risky short positions you could take in other companies.
Im less concerned about the forward guidance. Management is very very conservative. Rather than not putting out guidance they have probably chosen something that they know will be met. You just have to look at the past, they continually are either at the top of guidance or exceeding. The market is well aware of how management play things.
