Credit Clear only plays in the collection services space (<180 day overdue). CCP's collection services is disclosed under their "Other income" line, which they haven't been doing too badly in either.
The difference in CCP and PNC's commentary on the Australian PDL market is mainly differing views on the current pricing. It's worth noting that CCP has two additional options to allocate capital - Australia consumer lending and US PDLs - so they may very well view the current Australian PDL pricing as unattractive when compared with these other options.
I'd also be very wary of debt buyers or lenders boasting about "market share" gains. It's kind of like heading to all the house auctions on the weekend, buying a whole bunch of hoooms and citing you've gained "market share".
