As I’ve always said, window dressing, packer will either sell down to less than 10% or out entirely, or a takeover like this will occur. CWN and SGR are monopolistic companies in Aus. Blackstone is jumping in prior to resumption of a normalised world post the vaccine rollouts. Not to mention central bank policies creating hyper inflation in the real estate assets which is probably all they want to retain, then flog off the commercial businesses. Buying more CWN shares in the $6s range in COVID, oh so sweet. No doubts this offer should rerate SGR. Perhaps the old SGR/CWN merger chestnut gains traction again? Although packer is the problem for that to occur.

I'm holding out until the end too. I'd like to be part of Crown's ride when "normality" returns rather than be told to hop off and watch from the side lines.
