    They wouldn't have been able to drill from the other side as that is the border of their tenement and would have to drill from the NST tenement.

    As far as I'm aware, not many gold explorers run their drills straight down vertically. I think it not only gives a higher chance of missing the target, but it doesn't show the true width of the ore body. It's all well and good drilling vertically through the high grade core and getting 20m+ @ 10g per tonne to get the market excited, but if the true width is only 2m wide horizontally the whole way then it becomes a lot less viable. Drilling at the angle also helps determine the surrounding lower grade mineralisation because ultimately that will be what helps the brains come up with the figures behind the PFS/mineral resource estimates and whether it's a system worth mining.

    Someone like Goldfinger will be better equipt to give the true reasoning, but that's my understanding at the moment.
