G'day Saul,
yeah I'm kinda hearing you. This is how I've boxed it up in my head, expect the worse & hope for the best.
At very least it's a lesson that not everything works as well as we would want or it should due to factors outside of our control & we get a tax break (so everything isn't lost, not totally anyway). The other side of the coin is that if you've mentally written it off already & it comes good, then happy days, "as I wasn't expecting anything but a tax break back & now a year down the track we're worth 0.30c, an unexpected win indeed"
That's how I look at it, it's either that or I tell the wife how much we've potentially lost & then I'm really in strife.....LOL.
