Pretty easy to stop if they take investment in cyber security seriously. Just off the top of my head
-Disable USB drives
-Data Leakage Protection both software and network layers. Something like Office 365 information protection.
-Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
-Throw in a SIEM to correlate and alert on events.
And that probably protects 90% of the use case scenarios.
