I hate making comparisons to other companies so i wont but we all know if you enter a new market with a new offering you need to spend to grab market share.
We can all list companies that have been attacked for doing so. Some of those companies have gone on to be the biggest on the planet and every step of the way people were screaming theyre not profitable! Maybe cettire wont succeed in the long run they wont grab as much market share as we hope but they can always switch off spend and be a profitable business as per pre IPO. The question is how big a market share can they grab and can they keep the new customers loyal to their offering? Thats what we will find over the coming years and no doubt it will be a rocky path along the way.
