Note that we are here potentially dealing with multi billion dollars resource and AP being a financial man would be well aware of the implications of rushing in and make a half hearted attempt - that will surely be giving a predator opportunity to get the resource on cheap if things don't pan out correctly. AP also must be ensuring to build a defence mechanism in case a cheap takeover is attempted after successful discovery - these things take months to plan and execute. AP is the biggest stakeholder in this company and he will not do anything in a hurry which may force him to lose control and the big bikkies!!
